Introducing Ourselves and our Project

Who we are and what we want to achieve!

Hello everyone, we are happy to announce today that our project is about to take place, but before telling you about our ideas, I think it’s time to introduce ourselves.

We are three Italian girls, our names are Anna, Sara and Novella, and we're currently studying at a school located in Oxford.

We are creative and full of ideas and initiatives, and in our own small way, we always try to help our community.

We have many expectations for the future and each of our ambitions is related to helping others.

There is no better feeling than waking up in the morning and knowing that you did good, that you helped and sometimes that you even revolutionized someone’s life.

For example, I remember that last year, during the pandemic, I decided to be of help to society, thus beginning to produce handmade medical masks. I think I ended up producing 50 masks, which after being disinfected and sanitized, were donated to a hospital. I remember that a week after giving them away, the clinic to which I had donated them, sent me an email telling me that the patients - especially the children - had very much appreciated the masks (along with a picture of a happy kid who was wearing one of the masks I made). You can’t even imagine how happy I was at the time, I was over the moon. I think I was even moved and started crying. It was sensational. Definitely something I want to do again.

Similarly, Sara, another girl from our team, aspires to become a surgeon. She always studies with so much dedication and I honestly can perfectly imagine her operating a patient successfully and completely improve his/her life.

With her selflessness and her love of medicine and of people, I have no doubt she will become one of the best doctors in the future.

Last but not least, Anna, the other participant in this project, has always loved children, and has considered jobs that could ensure their well-being.

Also, with her strong empathy, and with her spontaneous and wonderful personality, whatever she decides to do in life, I’m totally sure it will bring great benefits to people.

I mean, I hope I’ve given you an idea of how much we care about supporting people, and I hope you understand what motivated us to do this.

In fact, this initiative was born genuinely. It was not invented for academic purposes, just to have something to tell the universities. On the contrary, it was a kind of need to be available during this world emergency.

We felt we could help, so we decided to start a fundraising.

We chose to do it for the British Red Cross because we were amazed at the sensational initiatives they took during the pandemic. Acts of pure love.

As their slogan says, everything is based on "the power of kindness".

We just thought to take an example from them and give them a hand, for pure kindness.

By creating this website I have written all the relevant information to understand this project, and I am sure these information will be updated and therefore will increase over time.

In addition to volunteering, we hope to earn funds to donate to the British Red Cross, especially through the organization of various events. Currently our goal is to get to earn £200, but of course we hope to get even more out of it.

We do not intend to spoiler what we will organize exactly, but trust that it will be a formidable experience! For all of us.
